You dont mess with Jimmy Choo!!!

Jimmy Choo Ltd persuaded the High Court to issue summary judgment against Towerstone Ltd in relation to its design rights of a handbag, namely the “Ramona”.

The High Court accepted Jimmy Choo’s design rights and found that the Towerstone handbag violated the design. However the court found there was no defence to the award of damages to Jimmy Choo as they belived it was an innocent violation of a Community design.

This isn’t the first time Jimmy Choo as taken a company to court over its designs and i’m sure it wont be the last. 

Jimmy Choo needs to protect its unique designs, thats what makes them so special.
