Do skinny jeans look good on pear shaped women? Many women who are either pear shaped or have larger legs than they would like have found it difficult to wear skinny jeans and feel comfortable in them. Many women wish they had a fuller figure to enable them to look good in other outfits. Other types of jeans look much better on pear shaped women and believe it or not, many skinny women are envious of this. The trick is to work with what you have and don’t become envious of one item of clothing as there are so many choices for women.

Will this long credit crunch continue to affect the fashion industry? It seems that people are prepared to give up their nights on the town and choose to purchase fashion gear instead. People want to look their best to make it seem they are not affected by the downturn. People are also choosing to purchase fashion gear over music which has resulted in music stores finding it increasingly difficult to survive. Will we be able to continue purchasing these luxury items if the credit crunch continues or will they be another sacrifice we have to make.

Suffering boutiques

Is the small boutique in increasing danger of becoming extinct? The number of high street fashion stores has increased over the years but how does that affect the smaller boutique. Firstly the boutiques cannot compete on location. Major fashion stores are easily accessible on high streets and shopping centres. Secondly the cost of renting is extremely difficult for boutiques and cannot afford renting on the location of the major stores. These factors result in boutiques being less convenient for the shopper and they are more likely to go to a shopping centre where parking is easier, there are more stores to shop in and the cost of clothes is much cheaper.

Winter wardrobe still needed

Don’t put away your winter wardrobe just yet. You may feel like spring is approaching but it is important to remember that we are only just entering the cold snap of February. To stay looking good keep those winter warmers and Ugg boots out. Even though we are still to have another cold snap, don’t let that put you off from buying spring summer outfits. The best spring summer outfits are in shops now and are likely to get snapped up before you feel the need to buy summer clothes. Also buying summer outfits now may give you the incentive to shed that extra winter weight.

Cheap Shoes

I bought pair of relatively cheap shoes for work last week. They were extremely comfortable and I overall I was very satisfied with my purchase. I wore them for a week and even though they were comfortable I didn’t feel they were stylish in comparison to shoes worn by my colleagues. I was torn over thoughts of whether to go shopping for a pair of more stylish shoes. After another week I made my decision to buy a pair of stylish designer shoes and they really make my feet feel important. Even though they aren’t as comfortable as my cheaper shoes I really feel like my designer shoes will help ne achieve success.

Singer stroke actress Mandy Moore recently put the competition firmly in the shade when she rocked up to the American Music Awards in nude Jimmy Choo Private heels.

We know that Mandy doesn’t exactly need much help when it comes to looking uber hot- especially with her glossy brunette locks, although in these shoes she was simply smokin’!

Ms Moore teamed the Private sandals with a colourful Matthew Williamson mini dress- which make her legs look even longer than they usually do!

When it comes to rocking the Jimmy Choo’s in a stunningly understated style, it’s fair to say that looking as amazing as Mandy would take some serious beating!

New York and Choo

I’m off to New York for a fabulous shopping trip on Friday (You’re jealous, I know!) and have just Google’d where the Jimmy Choo shop is so I can swing by and get some new footwear and it turns out there are THREE Jimmy Choo shops in the great city of New York! Well giddy about it now. I’m staying at the Edison Hotel right by Times Square which is in very good proximity to all of these Jimmy Choo locations, all by the bottom corner of Central Park. It’d be rude not to visit while I am in the fashion capital of the world so wish me luck that there are some Choos in my size in the sale!

Wedding shoes

My friend is getting married next year and has told me she’s got a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes for the wedding day. I’ve been on the official Jimmy Choo site checking out the new designs and have just been thinking, on your wedding day you’re on your feet for the whole day; why would you choose a five inch heel to stand in?! Honestly all of their wedding range is above four and a half inches and that would definitely put me off buying them. I have a vintage pair of cream and lace Italian leather wedges that I bought from a charity shop when I was seventeen in a box at home saved for my special day and these are a three inch wedge. I know I’d rather be comfortable on my wedding day but I guess hers will look good in the pictures!

Trainers at Choo

OMG did you know that Jimmy Choo did TRAINERS?! I have just spied the most amazing high top leopard print numbers. I go to the gym at the moment in some blue adidas trainers which are bright blue with yellow and purple Chinese designs on them. Yes, I am the most stylish person in that gym! However in a pair of these leopard print Jimmy Choo’s I would be even more stylish and people would not even notice the fact I have no make-up on as their eyes would be drawn to the foot area which you should know is far away from the face area. Brilliant plan. In fact I would wear them with all black so they stand out more. That’s’ the dream!
